Julio Iglesias received yesterday, at the Cervantes
Institute in Madrid, two historic awards: the Latin
artist who has sold more albums in history (300
million) and the artist who has sold more albums in
Spain (23 million).
Both awards were given to him by Rafa Nadal in a
very emotional ceremony. Julio Iglesias:
„Undoubtedly, this is the most important day of my career. It is the one that moves me, most deeply moves me. I am also very moved that my fatherand my mother are not here, as they are the very direct cause of this effort and of the passion that they gave me for life”.
